Organ: group of tissues that work together to do a special job
Organ System: group of organs that work together
Tissue: group of cells that look alike and work together
Muscle tissue: tissue that can contract, or shorten
Nerve tissue: carries messages back and forth between the brain and every cell in the body
Connective tissue: provides support for your body and connects all its parts
Epithelial tissue: covers the surfaces of your body-both inside and out
Homeostasis: the process by which an organisms internal environment is kept stable in spite of changes to the external environment
